Hiking in Caledon is hands down the best in southern Ontario. Ok, maybe a little larger radius as well. We are lucky to have so many marked well maintained trails for walking, running, biking and yes, even horse riding. But what happens in the winter? Welcome to Caledon winter hikes!
Caledon residents don’t hide in the winter. With an abundance of activities in our backyards, we are out and about on the daily exploring what this beautiful land has to offer our families, and that doesn’t stop when the weather gets snowy.
The same Caledon trails families use throughout the spring, summer and fall are also readily used in the winter. Of course a little slippery, these trails offer a wealth of beautiful sightlines. From the Caledon Trailways, to the Forks of the Credit, Caledon residents have a ton to choose from. Some end up close to your favorite coffee shops and cafe’s, so choose wisely to warm up after!
Local author Nicola Ross, has a book that goes into great depths on the amazing trails we have in Caledon. Pick it up at Higherground Coffee in Belfountain, or on Amazon.
